Try press control + Alt +Delete , then see if task manager starts, select new task and browse to get into the programs on the computer. Not sure how to get to the system restore, tho as I am an amature.

Didn't work for me, I just still get the f9 or f10 comes up then it goes to the cursor in the upper left corner blinking away into eternity...nothing after that.  tried all the self tests nothing, tried to get it manual into bios screen test (hold down windows key and b key turn on power release after 3 seconds) nothing.

 

I may have to either replace hard drive or pitch this into bin #13.

Hi guys

i have a Hp Mini 5103 and its not booting up

when i press the power button only the web and email buttons to the top of the pc glow but the lcd is black

any ideas?
