My Screen will randomly (every couple of hours) turn off and on around 5-6 times in a matter of 10 seconds. (Note: the computer doesn't turn off completely, only the screen). While doing this, it will play the sound of a device (Mouse, USB) being on and off. When it all finishes, it leaves me at my desktop and everyting I had open crashes, so it forces me to close all my windows and start again. Is there any way to solve this? Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

Hey there! @24Gon24, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand the screen on your laptop turns off randomly around 5 to 6 times in 10 seconds.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Have you tried to check in BIOS if the issue persists?
To boot into BIOS turn on your PC keep tapping the F10 key on the keyboard. You will boot into BIOS check the display turns off in BIOS.
If the display turns off in BIOS it certainly is a hardware issue. If the display does not turn off in BIOS.
Try updating the display drivers and BIOS on your PC and check if it helps.
Please update the display drivers and BIOS using this link.
Also, if you have an external monitor try connecting your PC to the external monitor and check if the display turns off.
If the display works fine on an external monitor. It would be the display cable on your laptop which could have gone bad.
Please contact HP support for service options.

Hope to hear from you soon!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
