You have software on the laptop to make backup media-Recovery Media. You should have gotten a reminder or two at some point to make the media. If you didn't it can be ordered from HP from your software/drivers page-last item in the list:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-f200-notebook-pc-series/7527799/model/8888505
Your model is not one of the easiest to get to hard drive, but it may be worth checking to be sure the cable is plugged in securely before purchasing a new hard drive. There is a chance it was jarred loose in the fall since it was not running at the time.A hard drive that is powered on and spinning during a fall has much less chance of surviving. Maintenance Manual shows how to get to hdd.

The hard drive has failed and will need to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will replace it. If not a retail 2.5" laptop SATA hard drive can be used. Just be sure to get one of at least equal capacity as the original in order to use HP Recovery Media to install Windows. It can be larger, but not smaller capacity. For instance if you have a 500GB hdd you could use a 750GB hdd but not a 320GB hdd.
You might try checking the hard drive connection to be sure it is still secure -but if the laptop was running when it was dropped the hard drive is most likely damaged.
