Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Failure Id: 0G9W7S-8BB8LE-XD7X6K-60SJ03
Product Id: X7G64EA#ABU

Was online (on Chrome) and the internet stopped working so i troubleshooted it and still didn't work. I then restarted it and the internet was still not working and so I turned it off and it just stays stuck on preparing automatic repair. I then decided to system test and found this. Please suggest on how I can fix this, I'd rather not have to buy a new hard drive. I bought it in December.

@fluffdev

Thank you for showing your interest in the HP Forums,
I’d like to help 🙂

As I understand the computer isn't booting into windows anymore and you are getting the message-"Hard drive short DST test failed" on the test page,

You've performed the hardware test and it resulted with the failure ID: 0G9W7S-8BB8LE-XD7X6K-60SJ03

(I appreciate the detailed post, as it helps us avoid further questioning and get right to the point).

Here's what the ID represents:

Hard Disk 1 Full Test Failure (303)

You will need to get the hard drive replaced, this can be done either using the HP Part store,

Or by contacting HP phone support to set up a repair/replacement order for a nominal fee if the computer is Out of Warranty and would be free of charge if covered by the warranty:

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get the phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

Let me know how that works out, keep me in the loop and Good luck! 😉
