Just the reboot installations took another 45 minutes. But they all seem to work. Back to 1600x900 display, and Norton still works without BSOD.
Installed MS Office afterwards - and, don't know if it's related, but after it installed, the reboot is now taking ANOTHER 1/2 hour so far. Hmmm. But the display seems to work.
Thanks for the (old) link!

You're very welcome.
Run msconfig and check the startup tab for the list of programs that run on startup.
Uncheck the ones you don't want to run at startup and reboot.
Make sure you don't uncheck something that has to start when windows starts.
Reboot, and see if that peps up the initial boot time.

Hello Paul!
As you managed to solve similar issue before , I am writting to you.
I have HPG62-a31SO notbook. I can start the computer only in safe mode but if I disable intel Hd Graphics, then i can start in normal mode also. If I enable it, then again, computer can not be started in safe mode. I tried all the drivers from HP website that are refered to this model, but could not fixed the problem. When I installed driver seperately from Intel website and AMD website, then I got the full resolution for few minutes but then computer gets restart suddenly and blue screen appears. So, I believe, my graphic card is not broken!
I already posted in this website my problem but could not get fixed.

The 05/2015 driver updates worked for a while, but in August the graphics card once again killed the computer with a BSOD.
I have now solved the problem with the Radeon/Intel graphics card. I have removed that card and bought a new nVidia GeForce card. Now I don't have any problems with the Radeon/Intel graphics at all.
(Contact me if you would like a used Radeon card. It gave me BSODs about every 60 days for 4 years - but I'm sure you'll have better luck.)
