VJ735EA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an older HP Pavillion dv7-3011eo portable PC (Product #: VJ753EA)

The product is out of warranty (expired 2010).

The PC is working well, even with Windows 10.
I hope to keep it going a little bit longer and see that it probably needs a memory upgrade.

The laptop is delivered with standard 4GB memory and should - according to specifications - be upgradable to 8GB memory.

So the question is:
Is these specs accurate. Is it possible to upgrade this?
If it is upgradable, what type of memory should I get for this laptop?

Hoping anyone could help with this.

Hi,

Yes, you can upgrade to 8DB as shown on page 1-3 of the following manual:

     http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02638165.pdf

Page 4-14 of the manual shows you part number and how to add/replace RAM.

As DDR2 RAM is a bit hard to find and very expensive now. Please use part number to find online stores or eBay for example
