My daughter has forgetten THE password and we tried doin g a system restore and it won't let us tells me it's corrupted what can I do?

I understand that you have forgotten the password of your computer running on Vista, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to perform a system restore. 

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you. 

May I know the product number of your computer? Click here. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.

Are you using a local account or connected account?

 

Please try the steps suggested in this HP Article and let me know it goes.
