I was breaking my head over about what suddenly went wrong with my laptop and was checking my hdd drive externally, it seemed to work fine. All of them were suggesting that the problem was with hdd and setting the bios to default. HP diagnostics was of no use. Only your solution worked! Thanks a lot!

Hi,
I am having the same error. I replaced the hard drive with a new identical Seagate hard drive and I even rant the Primary Hard Disk Self Test both in the BiOS and in the boot up screens. Both pass indicating the new hard drive works, yet every time I try to use the system restore disks the machine will not go past the screen that says Bootable Disk not found. I go back into the BiOS and the 03F0 error is still there. I removed the CMOS battery and counted to 5 and put it back and the problem is still persisting. Do I have to hit power or something after I remove the CMOS battery? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
