I have just purchsed a new laptop a HP 17t Power Laptop Product # X762AV . I would like to know when my laptop arrives and I create a USB recovery media Fash Drive , how can I Transfer that to DVDs or CDS or vice versa . I travel and would like to be able to take DVDs or CDs with me in case they are lost.
I do not like to have just a flash drive , if I should happen to loose it I do not have a backup.
Any help and instructions on how for me do thisthat you may give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Ray

The problem with moving a flash drive contents to DVD might be that the contents of the flash drive is larger than the DVD capacity. It might be better to be able to make the DVD's, if it still allows that. Keep in mind, it normally only allows one copy to be made.

You can normally use an extractor like winrar or iso then save location to DVD or something like that but as stated it may become corrupt because your moving data around. As for dvds/cd's you can save files as an MP3 for music or AVI (other formats are availbe) and save them to your usb flash drive. There are loads of programes that will let you do this search in google recover dvds/cds to usb flash drive and loads come up.
Please remember to select best answer.

In looking at the link you provided, that Recovery Media is not the same as the HP Recovery disk set or Flash drive. From the link that is from Microsoft. I am sorry I did not look at the link contents more closely. You can make the Windows Recovery on either media, I believe and more than one time.
