Greetings,
I've newly purchased this ProBook 4540s.I've been trying to figure how to active my bluetooth.I've tried several drivers but ended up with nothing. So all I need is a step by step instruction to active my bluetooth.
*Using Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.
*Tried this drivers so far
This installation end with a error message saying bluetooth device is not plugged in.
I would be greateful if someone can give me a step by step instruction to install bluetooth driver.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi,
Based on the following link, your machine may or may not have Bluetooth device:
http://www8.hp.com/au/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=5229455
Please use Device Manager to scheck under Networks to see which Wifi card is in your machine.

- HP un2430 EV-DO/HSPA Mobile Broadband
- Ralink 802.11b/g/n (1x1)
- Atheros 802.11b/g/n (1x1)
- Atheros 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo
- Ralink 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth Combo
- Atheros 802.11b/g/n (2x2) and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo
- Intel 802.11b/g/n (2x2) and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo
- Intel 802.11a/b/g/n (2x2) with Bluetooth 4.0 Combo
You can see the first few crads do NOT have BT device.

Hi,
Please check #3 on my first reply. Sorry, your machine does not have Bluetooth. If you wish to use BT, an USB BT dongle can do the job:

Open the support Assistant. Your notebook has the same version as my HP Loaner Envy17-3002ea. It should show whether or not a Bluetooth device is installed. You can use it to install the driver if the device is present but does not have a driver installed.
Click on About to update the installed version if yours is not the same as the one in the images.
Best regards,
erico
