HP Pavilion DV6 laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My first question:

I have a HP Pavilion laptop DV6 584037-001 that originally had windows 7 pre-installed on it, but later on i installed windows 10. I would like to find out where i can locate my windows product key - please help me.

Second question:

How can i make sure that the BIOS in my laptop will recognise a USB after i install a solid state drive in my laptop computer so that i will be able to use the USB to install a windows 7 home edition ISO file?

Third question:

Will the windows 7 home edition ISO file include all of it's drivers?

1-Your Windows 7 license key is on a label attached to bottom of laptop.

2-Most/all late model laptops are capable of booting from usb. Put the usb flash drive in a 2.0 port(right side of laptop). Power on, tap esc, tap F9 boot options then select/highlight usb, tap Enter.

3-Windows 7 will have some but not all of your drivers. You can get them from your Support page.

If you upgraded to Windows 10 and activated it successfully and want to stick with it you can do a clean install of it and it should activate automatically. Use the Windows 10 media creation tool to make installation usb or dvd.

Hi, CherylG!

You said "Windows 7 will have some but not all of your drivers. You can get them from your Support page."

Where is the support page?

1-The key grabber tool posted above will only pull the generic mass production key used at HP. It will not work on a retail version of Windows 7. If you upgraded to Windows 10 it will probably pull the key for it. Did you find the COA on bottom of laptop with key?

2-To find your Support page use the link aptly titled "Support" at top of this page. Click on Software & Drivers.
