Hp laptop

So today my Hp laptop got a bit wet from spilling soda, which then later lead to the spacebar to get all sticky in the inside, so i decide to take it out and clean it but now I'm in a position where I'm stuck and very unsure how to put it back. The space bar I've seen on videos had the 2 long bars and a rectangular bar-ish. I have tried putting it back but I'm stuck because it either goes too deep in or not at all inside. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
