Thank you! PreeOne for taking the time to reply. I don't not that much about upgrading that's why I'm here. I don't know which is better to upgrade, AMD/Intel processors. I have no clue. Are you saying that AMD processors laptops can't be uprgaded with Intell processors? What is range of cost we are talking about here, in case of worth upgrading?

Here's my P/n: NX494EA#ABV

Thank you!

Precisely, AMD and Intel cannot be interchangeable. The sockets are different. You can install a better AMD CPU like an Athlon or Turion. Semprons are the budget AMD processor and very poor. AMD processors are fairly cheap but the work to upgrade is hard. Do you really want to try? Very few laptop CPU upgrades actually get done. Post back for more help if you are a serious

Thank you very much, Huffer! I really I appreciate it. Yes, I would like to try a new processor for my laptop. And yes I am serious about getting those upgrades. Please I'd need your advise, so I can purchase any hardware needed for this process.
