I have a HP mini 110 with xp home edition, it won't start just stays on with the HP logo , Cannot get into Bios settings or boot settings, once I was able to get it to work , then when I shut it off , and turned it back on , that was it , tried F8, f9, f12, disconnected battery, all that stuff, I seen some people on youtube with the same issue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMRIUdwBKt0
Hard drive is working can hear it on , also the two led lights are on power and other to right I believe it's the network light. it seem very common with this model , what's wrong with these net books?

Hello,
Have you tried a Hard Reset, where you disconnect everything, the battery, usb's and the plug and then hold the power button for at least 30 seconds to clear the cache? Sometimes the Hard Reset will not apply if the Power Button is not held for up-to and exceeding 45-60 seconds. When done, plug the unit back in, but not the battery, and attempt to start it.
Also, you may find the following link of help:

Hello ssshake. I understand you're unable to get your notebook to boot.
First, try hard resetting the notebook.
- Ensure the notebook is powered off.
- Remove the battery and AC power.
- Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds three times.
- Replace the battery and AC power.
- Attempt to boot notebook.
If you're then able to get into the BIOS you should test your hard drive per these directions.
Let me know the result. Have a great day.
