I installed HP System Event Utility. The installation went smoothly. I didn't get any messages after the install. I can see the HP System Event Utility in my installed programs list in control panel. But somehow I cant find it in my computer to run it... Anybody had the same problem?

@shaman74 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you have installed the HP System Event Utility, you are unable to run it.

There is an HP System Event Utility which does the following... the HP System Event Utility enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed.

For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information.

Great. Thanks for the information @Praveen196. But as mentioned above, my issue is that I can not find how to launch the program. Where do I go to launch the program? The install did not create a shortcut on my desktop or taskbar, neither added it to the "Start" menu list.

@shaman74

I understand your concerns.

The HP System Event Utility enables special function keys on the system to be programmed.

I believe it adds extra features to the buttons. such as Wireless on and off.

 When I tried to install it on a lab computer here it just told me it was already installed.

When I put it in the search bar it just brings up the download. You are not able to access or use it to alter or change anything.

I hope this has addressed your concerns.

Have a nice day!!
