Ok so this is off the wall i know, but here's the deal. I got too drunk one night, passed out, and apparently woke up and peed on my laptop. I can't remember the exact model number of the laptop but it's a hp and i bought it a little over a year ago. Anyways, i woke up the next morning and grabbed the laptop only to find it soaked with piss. I called every computer shop in town and they basically told me i was screwed. Well for good measures, i took the battery out and removed two covers from the back of the laptop and put a fan blowing on it for 3 days or so. After those 3 days, i put the battery in the laptop and it started right up, no problems. Well i surfed the web for a couple of hours and everything was working fine. My battery started to die so i plugged it into the charger but it would not charge. The blue light around the power jack on the computer would light up when i plugged it in but it would say plugged in not charging on my desktop. My battery died shortly after that and i still cant get it to charge. I took the battery out to see if it would turn on with the cord plugged in and it wouldnt, but that blue ring was still lit up. I tried one of my friends batteries and powercord thinking i fried the battery, but the same thing happened, still wouldnt charge when plugged in, and wouldnt turn on while plugged in. So now i dont know what to do. The computer is recognizing the cord plugged in, but is not getting any power transferred. Do i have a motherboard problem, a powerjack problem, or what? I need this computer for school just need to figure out what i need to replace. Thanks in advance for any help, and i know im a dumbass for pissing on it, but it is what it is.

Likely a replacement motherboard will fix it at least temporarily. I really can't think of a worse fluid to soak down electronics with. Urine is very basic (opposite of acid aka alkaline) and very destructive to circuitry. Truth be told you need a new laptop.

Chances are something around the plug is shoted. I think you said with just the battery (when there are still juice left) the notebook boot up and works. Depending on the model, you may need only replace a small part that is the power plug piece, or maybe the whole MB - if it's one piece.
