Hi  IT_WinSec Associate Dean,

KC

Hi KC,

The problem is not that it does not need the PC drivers to proceed - it is missing some USB drivers (something built-in) for the USB or it suddenly forgets that the USB drive is plugged in. As strange as that

It could be some fault in the Windows ISO image (installer) or could be fault in the USB drive itself/USB port.

Try with a different USB pen drive

Did you check the solution over the Microsoft forum > https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/a-required-cddvd-device-driver-...

Lots of people there report this works for them

If the above does not help, please try with a different USB drive and try to re-download the ISO image using the Heidoc tool.

Does your PC have a DVD reader device ? It should have. Just get (or buy) 1 blank DVD, re-download the ISO image using Heidoc. Instead of using Rufus, try to burn the image to the DVD disc and eventually boot (F9) from the DVD disc - Notebook Upgrade Bay. Instructions how to burn the ISO image to a DVD can be found here >> under Use Windows 7  > https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/14183/beginner-geek-how-to-burn-an-iso-image-to-a-disc/

Hope this helps. Please, keep me posted.

Since there is some hidden problem with installing Windows from a bottable USB will try inatalling Win 7 using a bootable DVD.   Although I did this a couple of weeks ago my memory is short;  I have a DVD with Win 7 Professional 64-bit ISO and another with Windows AIK Installation disk for Win 7 64-bit on it.  What should I do?   :manembarrassed:

Hi KC,

Windows 7 Professional ISO - 64bit

Hopefully the DVD would do the trick.

I think your license is for this one ? The one that is on the COA sticker..

You mentioned using a Kingston Data Traveler 3.0.

I had  A required CD/DVD driver is missing  error one time years ago when installng from USB 3.

Switched to a USB 2.0 drive and the problem was solved.

Sharing what i did here :

1: Made a bootable disk with USB (DVD and CD can do the same)

2:INstall the new OS on computer with the bootale disk ,

PS : This is the most convenient and reliable method in my opinion.
