Hi,
As I can see at the downloadable drivers list for this laptop, there's only Intel HD Graphics drivers, but no AMD (ATI) drivers? Therefore in device manager only Intel HD Graphic is installed with latest drivers. The other device is not working and no drivers is installed. Where is the file? I've done a clean install with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 so there's not a backupdrive with the pre-installed drivers or driverpackages.
It have to be possible to download it. I dont get it, why it isn't there?
Please help

Or the opposite I meant..
I just found this on google by searching the hardwareID: http://www.geeks3d.com/forums/index.php?topic=1995.0
I un-installed all software and drivers for both Intel and the AMD first, and then I gave the SP51092 a chance to see what would happen.. It succesfully installed and I could choose the Display Driver within the installation. Wuhuuu. But... it's version 8.771.1.0 ? (Both cards using it) but it is working.
Isn't there any newer? It's from 09-09-2010 !

Hi:
Please see if this driver works.
I see the HD 5450 in the setup information file.

Hi,
I've already tried that one. When running the installer, it doesnt install the display driver. It doesn't even shows up on the list over drivers being installed. Only HDMI sound, CCC, HydraVision etc. No display driver.
Right now, I'm on this leshcatlabs driver. The newest. And it did succesfully install the newest AMD driver.
(source: http://leshcatlabs.net/2014/07/22/leshcats-catalyst-14-4-whql-unifl-v2-1/)
And Catalyst Control Center shows "switchable graphic" and I can then switch between power-saving graphics (the Intel) or Performance graphic (the AMD). But if I'm on the power-saving graphic and change to performance graphic the backlight on the screen goes out and I have to restart to get it back or switch back to power-saving graphic.
When the power-saving (Intel HD) graphic is set as active, the AMD graphic dissapears from the hardware list but when its the AMD thats active, both of them shows up.
Thats why, I wanted the original from HP made specially for this model? ?
There's no problem besides the backlight is off after setting the AMD as active, but I'll just leave it active on the AMD and restart the laptop and then there's no problems with the backlight.

Sorry that one didn't work.
If you disassemble the driver, you will find that it has the drivers for the specific Intel and AMD GPU's in your notebook.
I don't know why it doesn't work, and since I don't work for HP, there isn't much I can do about it.

Disassemble the drivers?
Yes, I hope to call them monday or something for further support, if no one comes with a solution in the weekend.
The only problem with this leshcatlabs driver package is the backlight missing whenever the computer wakes up from standby or pausescreen.. But it would be best, with the original made specially for this model.

Yes, if you go to C:\SWSetup\sp48551\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF\C7_97061 setup information file you will see the hardware ID's for all AMD and Intel GPU's supported by the driver.
Check these against what the hardware ID's are for the Intel and AMD graphics devices are in your device manager and if they match, the driver should have worked. Maybe you can manually install it by pointing to the specific matching device.
Now, if you do not see one of the exact same hardware ID's for your GPU's, then that is why the driver isn't working.
The PCI\VEN starting with 8086 are the Intel GPU's supported by the driver.

The AMD card HardwareID is: VEN_8086&DEV_0046&SUBSYS_1603103C&REV_00
And the Intel HD HardwareID is: VEN_1002&DEV_68E0&SUBSYS_1603103C&REV_02
I can't install the drivers manually by referring to the folder where the drivers are located via Device Manager.. So. Its not the right driver?
08-02-2014 03:31 PM
Nope.
That driver is no good.
None of the supported driver lines have that device code ending in 1603103C
They all end in 14XXXXC.
There is no exact matching hardware ID so that is why the driver isn't installing.
