Hi:

No Intel wifi card will work in your notebook because it has an AMD processor and chipset.

But the biggest problem is...if you gain access to the wireless card compartment, I bet there is a very good chance that HP only installed one wireless antenna on that model.

I have been seeing many posts where notebooks with the Realtek 8188EE wireless cards only have one antenna installed.

In order to install a dual band card (or a single band card with bluetooth), it is an absolute must that the notebook have 2 wireless antennas present and connected to the current card.

If your notebook does have two antennas connected to the wireless card, then you can install a Broadcom wireless AC card with bluetooth.

Installing the second antenna would require complete disassembly of the notebook including the display panel section where the antenna is routed to.

i'm very happy to inform you that i have 2 wires (one black and other white ) plugin on my wifi card.

I just open my pavillion and i could see.

Thanks a lot, and i'd like one more information if its possible:

Where in the web i founf a original  Broadcom wireless AC card with bluetooth?

What is the part number of this card?

the both antenas is for WIFI, Bluetooth does not need to antena?

Thanks one more time..

That is great news!

Most of the time, they only have 1 with that model card.

OK...here is the name and description of the WLAN card by broadcom you would want to get...this one shows the HP version.

You're very welcome.

I disagree with their statement.

Many forum members including myself have changed the wireless cards on any HP notebook made in the last 15 months.

You may want to gamble the $25 bucks or so and try the Broadcom card out for yourself.

You just can't put an Intel card in your notebook.

Thanks a lot.

in fact i'm not in USA and i can't buy from Amazon. (they don't delivery to Brasil)

now i'm looking for at e-bay

i found this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-HP-Mac-OSX-Broadcom-BCM94352HMB-802-11ac-867Mbps-BT4-0-WiFi-Card-724935-...

my expectation now is whether the bluetotth will work because my HP did not support bluetooth

now i'll have to be lucky to do this ...

but i was luck to talk to you... thanks....

You're very welcome.

That one should work just fine.

The bluetooth radio is on the wireless card, so the bluetooth will work fine too.

I can't get to the HP business support center right now to post the wireless and bluetooth drivers you need for that card right now (that doggone site is not working more that it works nowadays).

Once they get around to fixing it, I will post the links to the drivers you need.

Don't forget to uninstall the Realtek wireless card and drivers first in the device manager and then shut down the PC before installing your new Broadcom card.

Remove the A/C power and battery before working inside the PC.
