Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3B34
I have an issue with usb controllers and
Intel(R) PM55 Express Chipset LPC Interface Controller - 3B03
They show as code 37 windows cannot initialize driver.
I have tried all the solutions expressed in this group to no avail.
I cannot get any usb port to function.
This is a transfer to a new system with windows 7 home premium (64 bit) to a new laptop with I5 processor. All else works fine and properly detected and initialized.
backup and restore not an option, nor is reinstall.
Specifications as follows:
Windows 7 home premium Service pack 1
HP G61 Notebook PC
4.9 windows experience index
Intel Core i5 CPU M430 @ 2.27 GHz
8.00 GB Ram (2.99 usable)
64 bit operating system

I found the solution here. It worked on all but one of the issues.
That issue though is Error code 29 which says it cannot find the driver. I have installed all the drives required but this one appears to still have the problem.
The final issue I resolved from here:
These two completed the fix for this error problem. one is usb support and the other is infrared support.

Hi @Tekkiefirst
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP G61 Notebook and USB not working correctly. Here is a link to troubleshoot USB connections.
I would uninstall everything listed in the Universal serial bus controllers list.
Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices before uninstalling Universal serial bus controllers.
Restart your computer and then insert the USB device.
1. Click Start type Services
2. Double-click Windows Installer
3. Set the Startup type of Windows Installer to Automatic
4. Click Start to start the service.
5. Click "OK". Restart the Notebook. Now try to insert your USB device.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system.
Have you tried the USB device in another computer?
Hope this helps with the USB controller.
Thanks.
