Pavilion dv6-7010tx

Upgraded to Windows 8 Pro

Graphics Card:Nvidia GT 630M.2GB and

                        Intel HD graphics 4000

It is showing  total available graphics as only 1664MB on Windows Experience Index but on Hp support assistant as 5792MB.I updated BIOS to F.13 and Intel Graphics drivers and Nvidia drivers from hp website.

I want to why it is showing like this, but on windows 7 OS it is showing 5792MB

Hi,

Everything is just like it should be.

Check specifications for your model here.

As you may check there your model has 6 GB of RAM and 2 GB of dedicated Video memory.

Why do you see 1664 MB instead 2 GB? Part of the video memory is already used / allocated by the system, because it was needed to meet the current system requirements.

windows experience index as well as hp support assistant were working fine...............to the best of my knowledge...windows experience index measures (IGD)graphics on board (around 2gb....i.e.,intel hd graphics 4xxx/3xxx)...whereas hp support assistant measures the (PCI) aswell, there comes an nvidia 2gb and aditionally (PEG)processor embedded graphics were also there upto 2 gb(for ur i7 processor)...so all these were taken into consideration and displaying 5792mb...i am using hp pavilion dv6-7039tx..with same configuration as u shown in pics....mine was also 6gb...happy gaming
