Keyboard Issue: Typing 't' produces 't5' and typing 'y' produces 'y6' after computer error.

dv6700 laptop left on in backpack for about a hour. When I discovered the laptop, it was on, but the screen was blank. After restarting the computer beeped three times, but would not boot. I tried to bring the computer up a few times getting only the beeps. The next day the computer runs fine except when typing the characters 't' and 'y'. When typing 't' the letters 't5' come up and when typing 'y' 'y6' comes up. Nothing was spilled in the laptop. I suspect it overheated. Thanks for the assistance.

Hi,

It seems to me mechanical errors here since all 4 characters are close together. The first thing I would check to see any thing such as metal, wet ... or even a piece of something is sitting underneath of these keys. The second thing I would check to see any damage for the electrical connection under the keyboard. The following book shows you how to remove the keyboard and then put it back:

I took the keyboard out and reseated it, blew air through the keyboard. After putting the laptop back together everything is working correctly.
