I just purchased this notebook and it is working fine - except the keyboard key that is to output a 'comma' or the 'less than' sign - it does not work. I press it and nothing happens. All other keys seem to work fine. I have rebooted a few times now - I have typed in Word and Excel and in Outlook - the key does not work anywhere.

Welcome to the HP Community @johnsap46, Hope you are well!
Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! I understand you are facing an issue with the “comma” key on your keyboard. Try the steps mentioned below:
- Click the bottom-left Start button on desktop, type device manager in the search box and tap Device Manager on the menu to open device manager.
- Click View and select Show Hidden Devices.
- Click the arrow next to Keyboards, right-click the keyboard device name, then select Uninstall to remove the device from Windows. (Do not select the box whish says “Delete the driver software..”)
- Continue removing device names in the Keyboards category until all device names have been uninstalled.
- Restart your computer and check.
Please check http://hp.care/2cdfAp3 for more detailed steps and instructions.
Also, check whether you are able to get the key working in “command prompt”. Press “Windows logo key” + “R” to get run window. Type “cmd” to get the command prompt. Check whether the key is working while typing there.
Let me know how that goes. Good luck!
Cheers 🙂
