Hello.

Is there a way to find out what chipset the HP/compaq nx9010 laptop uses for the LPT port (IEEE1284) data output pins?

Hi,

That port is for older style printers which use STANDARD parallel cables. The following information shows all pinouts:

         https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_port

On its golden days, we also used it to connect to other devices which supported parallel connectors.

Regards.

Thanks for the quick reply!   But that was not my question.

I am trying to find out what chipset (hardware) the nx9010 uses to drive the LPT port data output pins.

Thanks.

Hi, @Hepme :

Here is the link to the nx9010 quickspecs.

The chipset info can be found on page 3 (Chipset: ATI Radeon IGP 345M (RS200MP)/ALI M1535+).

I am considering using this circuit to buffer the LPT data pin.  The ESC needs 10mA to operate properly.
