Hi! I purchased my laptop not even a year ago and I'm having a problem I've always had with hp laptops... overheating. One day my laptop just decided to start overheating during normal operation. I was not running anything that would take up a lot of memory but then I realized that my memory spiked to 100% memory usage. A program/application called "Antimalware Service Executable" which would start using up all my memory and disk as soon as I tried interfacing with any network, i.e.; internet Explorer, chrome, file Explorer etc. After running several troubleshooting tests I decided to reset to factory settings, HOWEVER, my laptop will not stay on for longer than 2-3 mins before it overheats and shuts down so I tried cooling as best as I could with a high powered fan. I was able to start the process of resetting but it shut down after about 10 mins. Now when I start it up it will not recognize the boot device. "Unable to locate boot device." And it still overheats even without boot! Can I return this? And/or send it for repair?
