Laptop monitor went fuzzy

Hi guys,

I was using my hp laptop a couple of days ago and suddenly the screen went fuzzy and it was only displaying fuzzy lines of different colours that blocked me from seeing anything on the screen.

I connected the laptop to an external monitor throught the hdmi cord and it worked, then i restarted the laptop I clicked on esc multiple times to get the startup menu. It was clear that the laptop was in the startup menu since nothing showed on the external monitor and the computer did not open. Without being able to see anyhting on the laptop I clicked on enter, hoping to go to the diagnosis menu or anything similar, however nothing appeared on the external monitor or the laptop after that. I noticed tha there was a part of the screen on the very top that actually displayed the right colours but they were very blurry. Whenever I would go with the mouse to the top of the screen it would appear and the background was light blue. I tried clicking anywhere in the screen and pressing enter, escape or anything similar but nothing happened.

I have no idea where i went in the laptop startup menu but I'm sure it's a page with light blue background and a bigger that normal mouse and now I don't know what to do. Please help!

I  see that a few day ago the screen suddenly  would display only fuzzy different  colored lines and you could not see the remainder of the screen.

You connected an external monitor and it worked. You restarted the laptop and  hit esc several times to get to the startup menu. Nothing showed on the external monitor and you assumed it was in a startup menu screen and you pressed enter  and you did not see anything immediately, but after scrutinizing the screen you located a section on the top that displayed the correct colors but was blurry. When you hovered your mouse on the top section it would appear with a light blue screen but clicking on it did nothing.  You now have a light blue screen with a larger then normal mouse pointer.

First I would do a hard reset Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset'
