Hi,

I have searched the forums and internet for this problem but everytime people are sending me to the led blinking site of HP.

On that page they are talking about blinking codes from the capslock and numlock. On my laptop only the capslock blinks without giving me a code. (blinking speed is like 2-3 times a second)

What I did to search for the solution is removed the bios battery and then I will get a capslock blink code (2 times) that there is a problem with the bios. But after I reinsert the battery the problem is back.

I also tried holding the windows key plus the "b" (to restore the bios) but without luck.

So are there anymore solutions? or is this a hardware failure? ( btw I also have replaced the memory but that also didnt fixed it)

Hi there

It seems to be a hardware issue with the unit.

As you mentioned that the caps lock and the num lock flashes 2-3 times.

2 times means that the systemboard might be faulty.

And 3 times means that the memory might be faulty or the memory slot might be faulty. So try a known good memory in the second slot, and if you are still getting the flashes that means the systemboard is faulty.
