I've recently noticed that my notebook makes a rather loud 'buzzing' or 'vibrating' sound. I've experienced this problem recently when I tried burning an audio CD. I've read about this problem on other forums from which most explain that the cause could be due to the type of disk. I don't experience this problem when I am Reading from a disk. Could this problem arise from the type of disk I am using?

Hi:
It has been my experience on all of my notebook and deskop PC's that the DVD burners make the same racket when it burns CD's/DVD's, but not when it reads them as well.
I don't think it is anything to be concerned about.
When burning a disk, a much greater strain is placed on the hardware than when reading a disk.
I use quality Memorex or Verbatim disks too, and the drives still sound as you stated.
One of my desktop PC's burners is so loud, it starts to vibrate the case, and I have to give it a rap on the side to quiet the case from vibrating along with the burner.
