HP Envy-x360 15-bp023ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The picture from the  HP Wide VisionFHD USB Video Camera embedded in my HP Envy-x360 15-bp023ca is now "purple" (most likely actually magenta), and the video quality has deteriorated in clarity and sharpness.  This is not a product of the display as the picture on any social media/meeting/Video chat/Online meeting applications are the same.  In fact, the display from Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Camera all display with a deep magenta tint.

This condition began about a week ago.  I am not certain that it was affected by the installation of Zoom or use of Zoom's "background" feature.

I have removed and reinstalled the camera drivers in the Device Manager, allowing the Dev Mgr to select the "best" drivers.  No improvement.

I did see a small improvement when I turned on switches in an obscure  setting for "Broadcast".  I'm not even sure I can find that setting again.

I see that this condition was the subject of at least 16 posts from January to April 2018, apparently without resolution.  Since I have been using Windows 10 (64 bit) since then, I suspect that those discussions may be OBE anyway.  This, I am raising this issue again for myself:  The Video from the internal USB camera on my HP Envy  is severely tinted magenta, or purple, color.  I can find no software, no driver, no camera management application to rectify.

I am looking to discover both the cause and the correction -- why did it happen recently and is it fixable?
