Hi,
The fact that it isn't working with a clean install does start to point to some sort of hardware issue, although it's strange that it will work in Safe Mode.
Right click the Taskbar, select Task manager and then the Startup tab - right click each entry in turn and select Disable. When done, restart the notebook and see if there's any change.
There is also a bios update (F.39 Rev.A) available on your Product Page that may be worth applying if you haven't done so already - if you do decide to apply this, make sure you unplug any connected peripherals ( including the usb keyboard ) before starting the update.

Hi,
First, from the Start Menu, open Setting, then Ease of Access and Keyboard - make sure that both 'Turn on Sticky Keys' & 'Turn on Filter Keys' are turned off.
If that doesn't correct the issue ( or they were both turned off ), then try the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, expand Keyboards, right click the entry 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard' and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, open Settings and select System. Select Power and sleep, then click on Additional power settings - in the following window, click on 'Choose what the power button does' in the left hand pane.
In the subsequent window, first click on 'Change settings that are currently unavailable' ( near the top of the Window ) and then remove the checkmark from the box against 'Turn on fast start-up (recommended)'. Click the Save Settings button, then close any open window.
Shutdown the notebook.
When done, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 20 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu. Press f9 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f5, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.

Hi,
It's certainly odd that resetting the bios defaults would enable legacy devices and I'm not sure why that would occur as the machine shipped with 8.1.
Can you let me know the following.
1. Does the keyboard work up to and including logging in and then stop, or does it not work for this as well?
2. When did the problem first occur and was there any event before which, it was working?
Regards,
DP-K

ok thank again for the fast reply.
i just did a fresh installation of windows 8.1 and i follow the steps you told me ,all of them but still no luck 😕
the keyboard works in bios also it works through the installation of windows you know using tab and enter.
But when installation end and start windows in normal mode and you have to put the desired name it doesn't work.
i used an external keyboard to pass through.
Laptop keyboard works in safe mode!!! but not in normal mode even in the fresh installation and after the steps you gave me.
The keyboard stop working suddenly last week. No drinks no fall down
i'm at the point of a clean install now.
Thank you very much.
