So, I use my laptop a lot docked and I continue to get a HUGE mouse lag when running a program or two (ex. MS Word and Firefox). I've tried docking using my usb 3.0 dock or just plugging my monitor in via HDMI so I believe I've removed the USB as a possible limiting facor here. Does this sound like the laptop is suffering from load issues, or just bad MS drivers for my mouse (fyi it's a MS mouse).

Ok, so I called HP Customer Support today and the phone said to go online and create a ticket. So I went online to create a ticket and it told me that my ONLY option was to call. So that was 10 minutes well wasted..
So then I called again and talked to a women who was nice enough and understood my issue. After booting into recovery mode and playing around in the menus we seemed to be sure that the hardware was functioning fine as I had no lag in these menus, so it must be a software issue. Since I have all Windows updates and all updates through the HP Support Assistant installed, the only option I was left with was to factory reset my computer. Obviously I didn't do that, I didn't want to lose my files.
So, I paid a private company in the area. $100 and three minutes later I have uninstalled the Synaptics drivers and everything works.
I'm glad my computer is working better, I do love the computer, but quite upset that HP can't provide support for their own hardware and that I had to go elsewhere for that support.

Hi @Mustang46L ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Spectre 13-4003dx x360 and issues with a Microsoft mouse. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers that might need updating.
If you remove the mouse and restart the Notebook, do you still have the lag?
Please let me know how this goes.
Thanks.

I've run the HP Support Assistant and have all updates installed as well as all recent Windows updates. When I unplug the mouse and plug it back in it really doesn't help. The issue actually presents itself no matter if I'm using the built in touchpad or a usb wireless mouse. The issue is still not constant but occurs only occasionally, sometimes for only a few seconds and other times for a considerable length of time.
