My HP TrueVision Webcam has bad quality. How can i fix it via settings. If not why call it HD???????

That helped a lot, but i still would not call it hd though since i still can se the pixels and if you use the maximum resolution then the sound and the video are out of sync.

I have the same problem. My webcam is all pixelated and not clear. I compared it to a same model where I bought it and that one looked pretty good. I tried every setting there is and it did not make a difference.

 

Any suggestions?  I'm ready to take this machine back and get a different brand.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

May I know the exact product number of your computer? Click here. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.

May I know the operating system installed on your computer?

Have you tried the webcam with other applications?

Product number:  X0S43UA#ABA   Operating system: Windows 10 with Creators Update.I tried it with built in Camera App. I tried it with Youcam. I have tried everything I possibly could and I still have the same problem. you really have to adjust alot of controls just to get a decent picture. My older Hp 9543cl laptop has a better cam picture.

Thanks for the reply and providing the product number of your computer. 

 

Run HP Support Assistant on your computer make sure all the drivers are updated, including BIOS and chipset. 

Please refer to this HP Article for assistance in using and updating drivers using HPSA. 

Make sure all the Windows updates are installed. 

 

Found this HP Article with a lot of troubleshooting steps to resolve issues with Webcam. 

 

Request you go through the article and the steps.

I am getting sick and tire of my HP WEBCAM quality... IT IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC... When I first got it I loveD the webcam quality and now it sucks... I JUST WANNA GO CHUNK MY ENTIRE PC... just because of the webcam... this is rediculous HP... there is no reason for this **bleep** quality.... I think Y'ALL JUST SET THE WEBCAMS UP TO FADE OVERTIME... I never did anything to my webcam for it to suck... so this is y'alls fault, fix your **bleep** hp. y'all need to a better job... FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM DON'T MAKE SOMEBODY ELSE FIX THE PROBLEM CUZ OBVIOUSLY WE DIDN'T CAUSE IT... Otherwise it would be fixed by now... and I am  not gonna ask if I am correct cuz your just gonna say "UMM... OK HOW CAN WE HELP YOU" just what every typical service member asks... Y'ALL DON'T KNOW **bleep** ABOUT COMPUTERS... I am just a regular person struggling with this problem, and Y'all want us to fix it... to me that is not what service is about... y'all need to be more curtious... make another driver, one that will replace the truvison driver... BUT NOOOOOO, I BET Y'ALL HAVEN'T CAME OUT WITH AN UPDATE IN YEARS... AND U WANNA KNOW WHY I AM GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF MY HP WEBCAM QUALITY!!! I AM GETTING TIRED OF THESE **bleep**TY PROBLEMS!! y'all are a team, y'all are probably only working on one project at one time, y'all need to work on all projects, y'all have plenty of service. I payed an estimation of 400 bucks on this laptop... And I will tell you I am not that rich... C'MON!! **bleep**!!!!

Ok thank you... cuz I just about had enough of this... but Oh well... do you reallize I have external cameras to connect... that I didn't even know about... too bad I could have used your half way built cheap nonthemore or nontheless worthless webcam. I could have used this to give myself a life and make youtube videos... but I couldn't do it the easy way... bye... gl to all you... I mean no disrespect... but get it together... we need to worry about quality and not quantity... I can see the qauntity of money and the quality of my laptop is a huge gigantic difference... if you are gonna price galge somebody that is poor... 400 dollars is a lot in my vocabulary... and since I don't have a good webcam, I cannot make another 400 dollars... because to me that is rediculous that you would make something that I payed not the start of my salary but the end of my salary... and since I payed 400 dollars for this... I can't use the money to make money... but I will And I won't be going to y'all... I will buy something that isn't hp... when I went to walmart the most expensive laptop I have is the one they had... and I have a piece of **bleep**. Have a great day, feel free to build a better working qaulity laptop. Because to me my laptop is almost half the price of a gaming laptop... and it is decent... but there is no reason to be angry anymore... the deal is done... the past is past... so now there is nothing I can do anymore beside... consider myself a waeeboo of lazy, bored, and useless. I would rather sleep for 3 years than use this webcam... but I am not gonna assume I should... cuz I am just proving how worthless your webcam is...
