My laptop cpu gets too hot after installing an ssd

Hi,

I have a problem and it is that I just installed a new solid state drive to my laptop, the problem is that after doing it the temperatures in my processor have increased drastically and it makes quite a lot of noise.

I can be on the home screen of my OS and the temperature will rise to 90 degrees if I go around with the mouse and select random things, without opening any programs.

My laptop is an hp omen 15, I installed a 3200MHz ram and a western digital sn750 ssd and my laptop has an i5 8400H and a gtx1060 3gb.

I have to add that this did not happen with the HDD and I don't know why now it does, I don't know if there is some bottleneck between the cpu and my ssd. Sometimes when I do a lot of things at the same time the cpu reaches 100% usage and after a while it kind of stabilizes at 10-20%

I would like to know if any of the components that I installed are causing the problem and if you can give me a solution, thanks.

Just a couple general comments. I always do this when I install an ssd and or ram, is do yourself a favor and redo the thermal pads common on most laptops. Remove the old pad with denatured alcohol and a soft paper tower, then redo it with a good silver paste. Not only does the pad get hard over the years, the silver will conduct heat much better and last longer.

If this is a new OS install on the new ssd, you may have a lot of indexing going on in the first week or so. Also while it is apart, a thorough cleaning of the fans are waranted. The parts you used had nothing to do with the rise in heat, it's more the OS getting settling in while it gets indexed.
