I have this chromebook 14 laptop and the problem is that it will not turn on. I was watching a movie and then I closed the lid while it was charging because I needed to shower. When I came out I thought it would just spring back to life but it didnt. I tryed everything and it won't turn on anymore. When I plug in the charger the light doesn't show. Please help?!!

Hi emmy7,

Thank you for your query, I will do my best to assist you.

I grasp that your notebook will not power on. You tried a hard reset but no change.  When you did the hard reset, did you remove all USB devices?

Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset

Here is a  a link to Using and Testing the AC Power Adapter.

Have you tried a different electrical outlet?

When you try to power the notebook on do you see any lights at all or is it completely dead?

If you would like further assistance please provide the exact model of notebook you have .

Please provide any additional details from your troubleshooting efforts.

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

Hi emmy7,

If the service center has determined it is the motherboard, it would require replacement to be operatonal again.

You may want to get the cost of the repair and then contact HP support, as they may have other options for you to consider.
