I am having the same issue with my laptop as well. I've gone through EVERY step listed, including factory resetting, but it still randomly deletes the wireless driver. It also starts lagging and the mouse starts jumping as soon as the driver deletes. I have to plug in the ethernet cord to get internet and then the lagging and jumping stops. This just started a few days ago and everything I've tried has failed. What do I do now?  Thanks

I understand you have wireless issues with your laptop.

 

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

 

Did you make any software or hardware changes on you PC?

 

Please provide the product number and operating system of your PC to assist you better.

 

Please try the steps recommended below.

 

Manually changing the network settings can resolve wireless connection issues. Create a restore point in Windows, and then manually change the network settings.
Using the search box on the taskbar, search for and open Create a restore point.
The System Properties window displays.
Click Create.
Type a name for the restore point, and then click Create.
Windows creates the restore point.
Using the search box on the taskbar, search for Command Prompt. In the results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
If a User Account Control screen displays asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your computer, click Yes.
Type the following commands one at a time, pressing Enter after each one.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
To open the TCP Global Settings, type netsh int tcp show global in Command Prompt and then press Enter.
Make sure all settings are disabled except Receive-Side Scaling State.
Close Command Prompt, reboot the system and then try to connect to the Internet.

I have an HP 15-r029wm that's running Windows 10. I hadn't done anything until the issue started last week. I then tried to update drivers, troubleshoot through both Microsoft and HP, delete and reinstall drivers, and finally did a factory reset. Almost everything I tried temporarily fixed the issue then the driver would randomly delete again and the mouse would become jumpy and choppy. I just tried what you recommended and the problem seems fixed, again. If it starts again I'll post!

Ya, it didn't work. As soon as I opened a page this morning and tried to navigate somehwere the driver disappeared again.....

Please try the steps recommended below.

 

Rolling back a device driver

Start Device Manager. To do this, press and hold (or right-click) the lower-left corner of the desktop, and then select Device Manager.
Locate and right-click the device that has the problem driver installed, and then select Properties.
Select the Driver tab, and then select Roll Back Driver.

 

If the issue still persists, uninstall the wireless driver from device manager and reinstall the drivers from HP recovery manager.

 

Refer this article to know how to install drivers from recovery manager.
