Hi,

Just got a HP PAVILION DV6-6141

basic specs:

Win7 64bit

Intel Core i7 2630QM 2 GHz

8Gb DDR3

6770m 2Gb

And i was wondering if you fine people could help me out with some driver update advice for it, as i dont want the laptop to up and die on me if i make any mistakes!

1.)

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5154596&...

Is this the right page to be getting my drivers from for the HP PAVILION DV6-6141 ?

If not could anyone help direct me to the correct page? 🙂

2.)

On boot the bios says version: F.17, but i was wondering what is the latest compatible version for my laptop?

(i am double checking so i dont screw anything up!)

3.)

I recently tried updating just the ATI 6770m drivers off that page i linked above (could have been a mistake), everything runs except for some bugs with textures and games seem to crash on a regular basis 😞

4.)

Are there any other forms of drivers that are compatible with the 6770m on this laptop that would improve gaming performance, and maybe stop the crashes/bugs, i have seen people mention modded drivers but i wouldnt know where to begin!

Also if you guys know any good posts/threads to help with any of this (if they have been done already) would be great!

Thanks 🙂
