Hi:

It looks like HP has every wireless card driver on the g4-1315dx support page except the one you need.  :generic:

Below is the link to the wireless card driver you are looking for.

Haha just my luck.

Well that driver worked like a charm.

Thanks so much for your help and the quick response.

Hey, is there any way I could post my hardware ids and get links for the proper drivers? I have the same problem in that under hardware for the computer there aren't any drivers for the ethernet and network controllers.
Ethernet controller:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_1656103C&REV_06
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_1656103C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&CC_0200
Network controller:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0084&SUBSYS_13158086&REV_00
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0084&SUBSYS_13158086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0084&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0084&CC_0280

Or, is possible give me a link or tell me how to get the link myself. If that saves you some effort. That would all be fantastic if possible. A life saver really.

Thanks,
Aaron

Dear HP Expert, after installing Windows 8 Pro 32-bit, I found some drivers are not installed in my laptop.

The card reader on the laptop now can not read any memory card I insert.

In the 'Device Manager' window, 4 yellow signs are detected on "Other devices" driver. They are:

1. Blackberry

2. PCI Device

3. Unknown device

4. Unknown device

Here is my laptop's identity:

Product name: HP Pavilion g4 Notebook PC

Product number: D5E86PA#AR6

Serial number: 5CD2524NKK

System beard: 183B 56.32

System BIOS: F.25

Is it right that I must upgrade the BIOS driver? And if yes, how to do that?

Thank you

Hi, Aaron:

Below are the links to the drivers you need:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168:

For Windows 7, you want to download and install the second driver on the list.

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0084:

Download and install either the first or second file on the link depending on if you installed W7 32 or W7 64 bit.

Hi:

Below are some of the drivers you need for your HP Pavilion g4-2216tu Notebook PC.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with the Blackberry as that is not a supported HP device.

PCI Device:

Unknown device:

Unknown device:

It is not necessary to update the BIOS in your notebook to install these drivers and I do not recommend doing so.

I am sure I am in the wrong forum but for some reason my searches keep bringing me back to this one again and again so I am going to try posting here first, then maybe some one can direct me to the right location.

I seem to be missing an Ethernet Controller for my desktop HP Pavilion PC. Below is the Hardware ID's so hopefully some one can point me in the right direction as to why this is not installed and doing an auto search for it finds nothing from Windows side.

PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001A&SUBSYS_700C1799&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001A&SUBSYS_700C1799
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001A&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001A&CC_0200

Hi:

Please post the full model of the PC you need the driver for and what operating system.

All my google searches for the hardware ID you posted of PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001A&SUBSYS_700C1799 tell me it is an Atheros wireless network adapter of some sort, not a wired (ethernet) one.
