Hey D1,
I know this is a year later but i'm currently working as help desk support at a school with 200 or so of this model laptop. We're constantly having this problem with this model... though it's starting to slow down.
We tried all of the solutions you mentioned above without the slightest hint of success. The only way we've been able to remedy the problem is by opening an online support ticket, in which a tech is sent out and replaces the MB. It's a little inconvenient.. especially with the number of laptops we have.
So after a year, I'm just wondering if there's a solid solution to this problem yet?

Hi folks ,
Following are the tasks i have done ....
1) Updated the BIOS
2) Changed the OS
3) Restrated several times with battery and without
4) Uninstall and Install ACPI compliant in device drivers
nothing has worked
still battery led was blinking, and no backup from battery
5) Start the Laptop with the charge having in the Battery and let the Battery charge drain
6) Best and important task is dont do anything let the LED blink and the charge having in the Battery go...
Let it do for one or two days by then charge will Zero(LED doesnt blink )
7) remove and insert the Battery
😎 charge the Lappy without switching on ....That it !
after an hour or so start the Lappy ...
PROBLEM DISAPPEARED .
