New notebook won't start

Just brought yesterday. first it shows freedos and HP documents option then ends in command prompt please help

Hi,

It ONLY has FreeDOS 2.0 and the command prompt IS DOS prompt. I does not have anything to start except DOS. If you wish to start with Windows, you have to get a license from Microsoft and install to your machine.

I don't know. It is up to you. The following list tells you the functions (and meanings) of DOS commands.

Again, if you wish to run machine under Windows, you have to buy a license and install to you computer.

First when I press the power button then its shows boot menu with freeDOS and HP documents option.. And after selecting freeDOS option it show
1-load FreeDOS including HIMEM XMS-memory driver
2 - Load FreeDOS without drivers ....


Then it shows
CONFIG.SYS error in line 13 ,
CONFIG.SYS error in line 20,
