Monitor went blank while pc still on for 3 times randomly in different periods. The pc afterwards wont restart immediately but after a short while it restarts with the blue screen stating that windows didnt shut down correctly then system repair starts and windows start normally.

What could be the cause of this phenomenon i have this pc for 2 years now. Its HP G60 Notebook.

Click on "Start" and right click on "Computer" and go to properties. If the installed memory is 2 GB or less then it is a 32 bit system. It will also say "System Type   64 Bit Operating system" if it is 64 bit. If it's 32 bit it will say nothing.

Try installing this driver direct from NVIDIA.

Save the file to the desk top with IE8 and install it from there, do not install it from a temporary folder.

so do u think this poblem is due to graphics update? its not happening alal the time, it happend 3 times in different periods but all recently, i thought perhaps i needed to reformat the pc.

i downloaded the driver update as u instructed. while it was installing the screen flickered and became large in resolution then went back to normal size, but the installation failed. so i tried again and this time it installed all components. so now what?
