I have recently bought a new Folio 9480m. The brightness buttons don't seem to do anything, whether operating on battery or mains power. Ive seen a lot of the other ideas but nothing relating to this model.. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,

First, try reinstalling HP Hotkey Support on the following link.

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=7089928&swItemId=ob_133031_1&swEnvOid=415...

When the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

If that fails to correct the issue, try reinstalling the Intel HD Graphics driver from the relevant link below.

Intel HD Graphics Driver - Windows 7/8/8.1 64bit.

Intel HD Graphics Driver - Windows 7 32bit.

Again, when the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

Regards,

There is no "hotkey" driver, application, or software at the link provided.  Can someone provide a link that actually works?

any one still having the issue?

you can try to uninstall the driver for HP Hotkey (if you have installed it), make sure you choose to 'Delete the driver software for this device'

Just try to use the 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard' driver.

Thanks!
