If I thought that it was "salvagable", I would have told you what repairs are needed.

 

I think that you have a hardware problem.  That means that the only solution is to replace the motherboard.

 

But, it will be difficult to find an identical motherboard, and just as expensive as a new new laptop to buy that replacement.

 

If you installed Windows from the HP-modified version of the Windows software, it should have detected the network adapters, and should have loaded the HP-specific device-drivers.  Since that did not happen, I suggest that you have a "hardware" problem.

 

You might be able to find an identical laptop on Ebay, and "cannibalize" its motherboard.

But, that's still buying a different computer, which you don't want.

 

Or, maybe, you'll find an identical motherboard on Ebay.  Maybe.
