I have a HP Envy 15 J049TX.
While playing NFS Rivals i do not get any in game sounds. The peculiar thing is I get sound for every other application I have on my system. I tried unistalling the game and installing it again, updated my directx and even unistalled and reinstalled my IDT HD Audio drivers but the problem remains unsolved . Even the windows sound mixer volumes are full

Kindly help

I too own the Envy 15 J049TX... Same problem here... The same setup of Rivals works fine on my friend's laptop, (Dell XPS).. I've tried everything I know but no success... The game runs smooth without any lag but no audio....!!!! It's really making me crazy.. I'm pretty sure its because of the HP customised audio driver... Please make a patch fix for this...

Hi..when you said you formatted the system..what exactly did you mean, you formatted it and installed a fresh windows of your own and then installed all the drivers and then the game..or you mean that you did hp factory restore which does the system restore to how we first turned it on with all the drivers and stuff preinstalled....?? And if you meant the former one then which windows version and edition have you installed..??

Hi,

I performed a factory restore and not a fresh windows installation. I had to do that because my system was experiencing problems.

I just installed the Intels latest driver n disabled the hp custom driver... Still not working...!!

Factory restore n the game working is a mere coincidence I suspect.... I've been playing games since 2000 n this is my 4th HP... This definitely is some driver related problem I think...!!
