Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

 

I've got a HP EliteBook 8470p running Win 10 Version 1703. Very occasionally (every few hundred clicks or so at a guess), the touchpad will register a double click as multiple double clicks. So, for example, if I click a link on a website which opens a new tab, very occasionally this will result in 5 tabs (with the same content) being opened. Very frustrating...

 

I have tried cleaning the touchpad with alcohol wipes, but the issue persists.

 

Has anybody else had an issue like this? Does it sound like the touchpad needs replacing?

 

I have installed the latest driver from HP's website for my laptop.
