PCI Simple Communications Controller

Hi! Paul,

I was surprised you never asked me how I did; setting up my "new" dc7700CMT!  The Problem of the "PCI Simple Communications Controller" seeking a Driver problem I had with my dc7700sff (and wrote to the HP "forum" about) was not  encountered using some precautionary measures downloading BIOS updates from HP.  The dc7700 CMT has none of these problems because I never downloaded the "ME" BIOS Enablers.  As you know; once you download the "ME" BIOS Enablers, you can't go back. i.e., the changes are irreversable - HP warns of the fact.  I still have the "PCI Simple Communication Controller" seeking a 'Driver' on my dc7700sff; but, avoided the problem entirely while setting up the dc7700 CMT - - of course; the 'CMT' also has the 'embedded' hardware on it's motherboard but was never enabled in BIOS.

i have HP dv2000 2116tu and installed windows 7 professional on it.

i find that PCI Simple Communications Controller driver and generic bluetooth adapter is not installed.

what should i do.

Please post the hardware ID for the PCI Simple Comms Controller

Then I will try and find the driver for it.

Greetings, Paul!  Once again, thank you for the courtesy of a reply.

From Intel's page you refered me to:  " Purpose   Installs the Intel Active Management Technology (iAMT) Manageability Engine Serial over LAN driver"

Serial Over Lan (SOL) *my note - has any one ever heard of the "SOL" ?

The "ME" functionability Intel offered was using the (antiquated) Serial Port!
