I have been looking for a manual/directions for replacing my CMOS battery and I can't find anything. Does anyone know where I can get one? If not, and I take it out without instructions, does anyone know if it is a battery that I can just take out and go get another battery or would I have to replace more than just the battery? Does the batter have soldered wires etc?

Hi
You have to take RTC battery along with the wire taped on to it, from the board:
Real-Time Clock battery removal
Before you begin: Observe all precautions when removing and replacing components.
Remove the battery.
- Loosen the six captive P1 Phillips-head screws that secure the accessory cover to the bottom of the notebook.
- Use your finger or a flat-bladed tool to lift the edge of the accessory cover and remove it.
- Disconnect the RTC battery cable from the system board.
- Simultaneously press down on the clip that secures the RTC battery to the base enclosure and slide the RTC battery forward. The RTC battery is also attached to the system board with double-sided tape.
Real-Time Clock battery replacement
- Slide the RTC battery into the clip built into the base enclosure.
- Reconnect the RTC battery cable to the system board.
- Toe the accessory cover onto the base enclosure.
- Tighten the six captive P1 Phillips-head screws.
