Hello!
I've owned my HP Pavilion g6-2292sa Notebook PC (running Windows 😎 for around 4 months now and tonight while I was just browsing the net I noticed my Caps Lock led flashing constantly, one flash every second. My laptop is working just fine, and I have restarted it in an attempt to shut up the flashing but to no luck. I have checked the posts about flashing and what the flashes mean but mine doesn't fit into any of it. It's booting, it's not beeping it's just the caps lock flashing constantly. I've checked my other lights and do not see any others spazzing out like this. I'm rather concerned since I have already had to have a new motherboard and HDD within a month of purchase. I've Googled to no fruition. Can someone please help me? 😞

Definitley strange!
Can you check in F2 the UEFI enviroment? let's see if it happens in there and outside Win 8.
If it still happens in there, we can try a hard reset - remove battery , and AC and hold down power for 30 secs and then reconnect. We can also try a BIOS flash - see if there is a newer version or re-flash it.
If the problem does not happen in BIOS - then you may want to try a Virus scan / update or possible a system restore

Thank you so much for your prompt reply!

OK,
first , did you try the Hard reset? removing AC and battery - then holding down the Power button for 30 Secs? and then restarting?
What is your model #? I am wondering because we have a partition on the HDD that is HP_tools - this contains the files needed to boot into F2 and UEFI. The file is known as HP Diagnostics and not listed specifically as UEFI 🙂
You can download the UEFI onto a USB thumb drive - but before we go there. you should try a BIOS update.
what is your model # ( not serial number )

According to the HP auto-detect tool my laptop is a Pavilion G6-2292sa. (The one with the awesome Lansing audio in the pretty purple shade haha)

Haha, nice ride..
Here is the BIOS update for this unit.
Download it and let it run to see if this helps.
