Hi

I have a HP Mini 210-1116TU PC Note book. The image do not fill the screen if I run any powerpoint slide show. Black borders appear on both the left and right portion of the screen. I have noted the same problem whie viewing any jpg file (Windows Picture Viewer software) as well. When I set any picture as a desktop, it fits the entire screen thogh.

Can somebody please advise how to solve the issue, since I do not think it is a software problem?

thx

Ratnendu

The Minis and any of the latest laptops have aspect ratio of 16:9... You will need to check if PPT or image comply to that... else you will have black band on the left and right...

For Pictures, some applications have built-in image scaling... but where as PPT you will need to 16:9 template..

I just bought a HP Pavilion dv6-3134nr and have the same problem, black borders on recommended resolution settings.  I've only encountered this so far when playing games but very annoying.  Do I need to visit the website you recommended for the mini's?  What should my ratio be if this solution is also applicable to my laptop?
