I tried charging my laptop recently and noticed that it wasn't charging because the pin in the charger has become bent and therefore cannot connect to the laptop.

Is it possible I could get the charger replaced, or do I have to buy a new one?

It came from the factory unbent. You bent it. Warranty does not cover. Buy a new one.

Some HP charger jacks are very easily bent and broken with everyday use. If you haven't mistreated it, and it's a flimsy jack, I'd push to have it replaced if it is still under warranty.
