Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
15-r220tu, with Intel hd5500 graphics chip, can be upgraded from 4g to 8g for system ram, but after such an upgrade, the pre-allocated DVMT memory is still fixed at 32m, and I hope HP can provide an option for the user to choose between 32m and 64m in the next bios update.

Hi @Easy2046,

Welcome to the HP Forums!:smileyhappy:

It is a terrific place to find answers and tips!

For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide Learn How to Post and More

I understand that you would like to have the option to change the  pre-allocated DVMT in the bios.  There is a bios update for your notebook and I am unsure if you have done it.  ( F.36 RevA. )

I am unsure if that will allow for any changes, but it is worth trying if you have not yet done it.

Good Luck!
